Prescription Requirements
If you want to order a product that says PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED you must first:-
- obtain a valid prescription from your vet
- post it to us before we can supply you with this medication.
Obtaining a prescription
If your pet has been diagnosed as requiring prescription medication, your vet is legally obliged to write out a prescription for the medicine upon request. You can download a blank prescription form from our website and ask your vet to complete it. Some vets may choose to write out a prescription on their own veterinary practice prescription form. We will accept either as long as the prescription complies with current prescription regulations.
Repeat prescriptions
If your pet has a long term condition and is stabilized on medication, your vet may be prepared to give you a repeatable prescription, which can be repeated for as many times as stipulated on the prescription. If this applies to your pet, it may be worthwhile requesting a repeat prescription. A repeat prescription may save you the trip back to the vet every month for a new prescription. NB It’s entirely up to your vet’s discretion whether a repeat prescription is appropriate for your pet.
