Description
Zylkene is a natural product, proven to help manage stress in cats and dogs. Zylkene works quickly and effectively to help pets cope with daily stresses and stressful changes in their environment which if left untreated can be very distressing for pets and owners. Stress in pets can lead to a variety of unwanted behaviours including:-
• Feeding irregularities and loss of appetite
• Inappropriate urination or defecation,
• Lack of interest in playing reduced or exploring
• Fear,
• Irritability,
• Changed demeanour
• Stereotyped behaviour such as licking and pacing.
Zylkene has no side effects
Approximately 50% of pets are afraid of fireworks and other loud noises. If left untreated it can get worse and symtoms of unwanted behaviours can increase. Many pet owners have found that following a sound desensitisation programme has help their pets learn to develop new behaviours in response to loud noises.
Giving pets Zylkene while they undergo a sound desensitization programme helps them to relax and become more responsive to new behaviours.

Uses
Zylkene 225mg is for dogs 10kg-20kg
Zylkene has been developed to help to reduce unwanted behaviours and to help pet cope with stressful situations including
• Being left alone
• Coping with loud noises and undertaking a Sound Desensitistion Programme – if pets are comfortable and relaxed they are more likely to learn new behaviours
• Boarding kennels
• Travel
• Lactation
• Weaning
• New people
• New animals
• Coping with a new environment
• Other changes to routine

Dosage
For dogs between 10 and 20kg (22-44lb) - 1 capsule once a day.
For cats and dogs under 10kg choose Zylkene 75mg For cats and dogs under 10kg choose Zylkene 75mg
For dogs over 20kg Zylkene 450mg
Zylkene is a palatable, water soluble powder contained in a gelatin capsule. The capsule can be given whole, but it is preferable to open the capsule and mix the powder with food or a treat such as cheese or tuna.
The average daily intake required is 15mg/kg and should be given once daily.
The period of use is 1-2 months, repeated according to veterinary advice.
Additional Information
The pet’s behaviour should be re-evaluated after a 15-30 day course, perhaps with concurrent behavioural therapy, and the daily intake modified if necessary.
Ingredients
Zylkene contains a patented bioactive peptide which has been studied for many years in collaboration with many well known institutes and veterinary surgeons that specialize in behavioural problems.
